Quick Exit

Johnny O'Connell bails from the cockpit of the works C5R Corvette
at the Laguna Seca ALMS race in 2002. The Corvette's exhaust system
had been damaged in a late race shunt which prevented the trapped exhaust
from exiting the overheated pipe. Raised temperatures and a freshly filled tank of fuel
caused the composite body to catch fire.
